A rosary will be held for Matthew Fierro on Monday, January 10th at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 6pm followed by a funeral mass at 10am on Tuesday, January 11th.

Matthew Was a loving son, brother and father and passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 33, in Artesia NM.

Matthew Samuel Fierro was born in Artesia NM on July 15, 1988 to Terri Fierro at 12:58 am. Matthew graduated from Artesia High School in 2007. He moved to Albuquerque NM and resided there for a couple of years.

In 2010 Matthew welcomed his daughter Sophia Fierro in the world. He then moved back to Artesia to begin his career at Holly Frontier where he worked a little over 10 years. He loved his career and was a hard worker. He was passionate about the challenges and task that were giving to him.

Matthew was one of a kind person there was never a dull moment with him from childhood to an adult. He loved working for his family. He met his Fiance Jovina in 2018. Matthew enjoyed making memories with his family and friends. Matthew loved his football team the Jacksonville Jaguars. Matthew was loved by all those who knew him. He was energetic, generous, artistic, spiritual and faithful. He modeled a life well lived and will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

Matthew is proceeded in death by his brother Benjamin Ray Hernandez, two great grandfathers, and one great grandmother.

Matthew is survived by his Mother Terri Feirro, Grandparents/parents Sammy and Rosemary Fierro, Grandfather Tony Perez, Daughter Sophia Fierro, Fiance Jovina and five kids, Sister Mariah White, Uncle/Brother Michael Fierro, Aunt/Sister Angela Fierro and Nephew Felix Hernandez.
