Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, at Victory Life Fellowship for Oscar M. Grado of Artesia, New Mexico. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, at Victory Life Fellowship from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Grado, 65, passed away February 6, 2020 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Pastor Alex Hernandez will officiate at the services with burial to follow the service at Lake Arthur Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Grado, Oscar Alex Grado, Luis Angel Velo, Leonel Enrique Velo, Antonio Adolfo Velo, Ricardo Abraham Velo,Manuel Grado, Wallace Grado, and Jovan Jose Grado, .
Oscar Menchor Grado was born November 3, 1954 in Redford, Texas, the son of Manuel and Manuela Grado. He married the love of his life, Arceleia Grado. Leaving behind his sister Rosa Hernandez, followed by her husband, Baltazar Hernandez, and brother, Martin Grado, followed by his wife, Christine Grado. Children Oscar Grado, Sr, followed by his wife Sam Grado, Joanna B. Velo, followed by her husband Enrique Velo Sr., Jose Luis Grado followed by his wife, Amber Martinez, Abby Grado, followed by her husband, Jerrod Ornelas, Lorenzo B. Grado, and Oacar Alex Grado, followed by his wife, Sanida Samora. Grandchildren Brandon Grado, followed by his wife, Justine Grado, Luis Angel Velo, followed by his wife, Patti Velo, Leonel Enrique Velo, followed by his wife, Maribele G. Perez, Antonio Adolfo Velo, followed by his wife Yadhira Munoz, Jovan Jose Grado, and Lianna Rose Grado. Great-grandchildren, Stasia Maria Velo, Aria Grace Velo, and one unborn great-grandchild. He left behind loved ones such as nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Oscar was a devoted son, brother, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend. He was the heart of the family that held us together. He was a big hearted human being who was always helping others, had a smile for everything that crossed his path, good or bad, and was known for having a lot of faith. Our beloved Angel will forever be missed and remembered by many.
