Milton Pennington

Services are scheduled for 10 am Monday, January 24, at West Main Baptist Church for Milton D. Pennington of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Pennington, 73, died on January 13, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Leroy Howard will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Milton C. Pennington, Elton Pennington, Brandon Pennington, David Pennington, Curtis Pennington, David Frederick, Riley McCauley and John Coleman. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6 pm Sunday.

Milton was born on June 18, 1948 in Artesia; the son of L. V. Pennington and Mildred Standard Pennington.

On October 2, 1970 he was married to Kay Hall. He was a longtime resident of Artesia.

Milton loved his family very much and always looked forward to their gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his father, L. V. Pennington,
Son Chad Pennington, a grandson Kolton David Pennington, brother Leo Pennington, brother-in-law Ron Frederick, and nephew Eldon Pennington.

Survivors include his wife Kay Pennington of the home; mother Mildred Pennington of Carlsbad, NM; sons Milton C. Pennington and wife Cheryl of Artesia, Elton Pennington and wife Morena of Carlsbad, Brandon Pennington and wife Ashlee of Carlsbad, and David Pennington of Artesia; daughter-in-law Olga Pennington of Carlsbad; granddaughters Tamatha McCauley and husband Riley, Katelin, Mae, Jane, and Nayomi Pennnington, Jordon Tidwell and husband James, Britney Molena and husband Chase, Faith, Abigail, and Hannah Pennington, Katy, Kaylee, and Charity Pennington, and Chloe Pennington; grandsons William, Jackson, and Konnor Pennington; great-grandchildren DeLynn, Kyle, Bailie McCauley, Leigha and Eli Tidwell, Braxton Dart, Cooper Molena, and Brogan Melendrez; sisters Brenda Frederick of Carlsbad, Carolyn Menzdorf and husband Eddy, and Becky Pennington of Carlsbad; brother Tony Pennington of Lubbock, TX; sisters-in-law Cathy Pennington of Artesia, Virginia McNulty, and Barbara Rogers of Roswell, NM; also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
