Graveside Services are scheduled for 3 pm Friday, March 13, 2020 at Woodbine Cemetery for Mary Ann McCaw of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. McCaw, 97, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Lakeview Christian Home.

Rev Robby Ballew will officiate the services.

Family will receive visitors at the McCaw family home after the services on Friday.

Mary was born June 26, 1922 in Decatur, Mississippi, the daughter of I.P. Johnson & Nora Ann (Strebeck) Johnson. She came to New Mexico with her family in 1924.

On August 28, 1941 she married Jack Will McCaw in Carlsbad. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2006.

Mary was a housewife and helped her husband with bookkeeping for McCaw Hatchery. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was involved with United Methodist Women and was a 4H Club Leader. She was an avid gardener and won Yard of the Month many times.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lamar Johnson, George Johnson, Charles Johnson & Herman Johnson; Sisters Oleta Cooper, Oneta Brown, Christine Butler, Lorene Lambert, Helen McCaw, Edna Utterback & Elizabeth Butler.

Survivors include: Son, William (Bill) McCaw & wife Emily of Artesia. Daughter, Gwen Riddle of College Station, TX. Brother, W.I. (Bill) Johnson of Lake Arthur, NM & Sister, Cleo Gossett of Washington State. Grandsons: Neal Riddle of College Station, TX & Kerry McCaw of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Great-Granddaughters: Katie & Lilly Riddle of College Station, TX
