A memorial service is scheduled for 10 am Wednesday, October 27, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Leila Sherrell of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Sherrell, 72, died on October 16, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services. Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Leila was born on September 19, 1949 in Gillette, Wyoming; the daughter of Phil and Pearl Isenberger.
She was married to Gary Sherrell in 1976 in Buffalo, Wyoming. She came to Artesia in 1977 from Wyoming. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking and was a specialist at making desserts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Phillip Sherrell.
Survivors include her husband Gary Sherrell; a son Floyd Sherrell; sisters Linda Shell and husband Jim and Claudia Clark ; Grandchildren Floyd, Mathew and Karma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
