Justin Coker

Graveside services are scheduled for 11am Monday, April 11, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, Texas for Justin Todd Coker of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Coker, 58, died on April 6, 2022, at his home in Artesia.

Jason Kraft will officiate at the services. Veteran Honors will also be given by United States Air Force. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6pm Sunday, April 10.

Justin was born on October 20, 1963, at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas; the son of Tom Coker and Vergie Singleton Coker. On December 19, 2011, he was married to Laura Robbins in Las Vegas, NV.

Justin and Laura came to Artesia in July 2015 from San Angelo, TX. Justin served in the United States Air Force for 20+ years, retiring with honors in 2004. He also served the federal government as a training manager and instructional systems specialist for 17 years. He was a Christ follower who enjoyed studying God's Word, riding motorcycles, camping, and playing bass guitar. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, San Angelo, TX chapter.

He was preceded in death by his father Tom Coker and his mother Vergie Coker.

Survivors include his wife and soulmate Laura Coker; son Joshua Coker, daughter Brandi Coker Weaver, step-son Samuel Wilder; brothers Tommy Coker and Jeffery Coker; sister Connie Coker Griggs; grandchildren Caitlin Weaver, Maximus Weaver, Leonidus Weaver, Jettson Coker, Stevie Coker, and Charlie Coker; daugher-in-law Brittany Coker and son-in-law Ben Weaver.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Center.
