Georgia Irby

Services are scheduled for 10 am Friday, November 5, at First United Methodist Church of Artesia for Georgia Norberta Irby of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Irby, 84, died on October 29, 2021 in Artesia.

Monty Leavell will officiate at the services. Cremation will take place following the services. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Irby, Brandon Price, Robbie Smith, Nicolas Irby, Lowell E. Irby, and Noah Irby
Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 1 to 6 pm on Thursday.

Norberta was born on February 22, 1937 in Roswell, New Mexico; the daughter of Kirk Yeager and Georgia Hearn Yeager.

Norberta Irby enjoyed teaching needle point, spending time with her family, and enjoyed her time up in the mountains of Cloudcroft.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Sharon Yeager.

Survivors include her husband Lowell Irby; sons Kirk Irby and wife Sherleen, Eugene Irby and wife Susan, and Wade Irby and wife Jennifer; a daughter LaNette Irby; ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the Irby family ask for donations to be made to First United Methodist Church of Artesia, Artesia High School Drama Program, Artesia High School Band Boosters, and the Artesia High School Choir Boosters.
