Francisca Oliva

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, December 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Artesia, N.M., for Francisca Pedroza Oliva of Roswell, New Mexico.

Mrs. Oliva, 67, died December 4, 2020 in El Paso, Texas.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. A rosary is also scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2pm to 4 pm on Sunday.

Francisca was born November 26, 1953 in Carlsbad NM to David Pedroza and Rosa Romos Pedroza.


She moved to Carlsbad from Colorado in 2012. She was married to Sabino Oliva.

She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Carlsbad. She owned and operated her own business running a flea market for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Felicitas Acosta, Antonia Madrid, Lydia Fuentes, Albina Hernandez, Zenida Pedroza, Teresa Chavez and Maria Elena Navarrette.

Survivors include her husband Sabino Oliva of Roswell; Ernie Duran and wife Nancy of Artesia, Gilberto Munoz, brother David Pedroza Jr., sisters Angelita Sifuentes of Roswell, Ernestina "Tina" Lara of Carlsbad, and Aurora Sonora of Carlsbad; three grandchildren Jeremy Duran, Ariana Duran, and Lily Munoz and three great-grandchildren.
