March 3, 1945 — February 23, 2023

Eliseo G Olguin, 77, passed away on Thursday February 23rd, 2023, surrounded by family and lots of love.

Eliseo was born on March 3rd, 1945 in Artesia, NM to Antonia and Celestino Olguin. He married his wife Helen on January 11th, 1961. They spent 59 beautiful years together building a family they were so proud of and loved deeply. Eliseo and Helen were the pillars of our family and will be missed everyday.

Eliseo, our Popo and Welo, held a special place in our hearts and his grandchildren want to share a special memory they have of him. - His love for music and singing, now I love listening to Spanish music because of him - Going hunting with me and my son. He bought a new gun and was excited to shoot it but the kickback was so hard he said it broke his pacemaker - His cooking, especially the red chile - I loved watching him play guitar and trying to teach me how play Spanish music on guitar - I could always push his buttons. He threw a brick at me once. - His sweet tooth and stash of candy. He used to sneak candy to all the great grandkids. - In the morning he would always put his music on while Mamo cooked breakfast. - Grandpa was one of a kind from Machismo to kind spirited! His love for music had a special beat that matched his heart! - He would save a jar of dimes and give it to me when I saw him. - I loved working side jobs with him and listening to him play guitar. These are just a few of many memories we cherish. Thank you for showing us kindness, love and how to always keep faith Grandpa. We love you and already miss you so much.
