Eldon Mayo

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, October 8, at Woodbine Cemetery for Eldon Dewayne Mayo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Mayo, 65, died on October 3, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services.

Eldon was born on December 13, 1955 in Mena, Arkansas; the son of Don Mayo and Sule Lyle Mayo. He married Diane Mann on June 13, 1999.

He was a truck driver and loved driving trucks, old cars, collecting animals and watcing the Andy Griffith show.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kendale Mayo, sister Kim Mayo, grandchildren Kelsey, Timber and Tamber, step son RoyLe Heady and daughter-in-law Amy Heady.

Survivors include his wife Diane Mayo; sons Nathan Mayo, and Heath Mayo; daughter Rebecca Hendrix; step-sons Rusty Heady and Roy Lee Heady; brother Kelly Mayo; sister Donna Richardson; 29 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
