Debra Colwell-Dewey

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 4, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Debra Ann Dewey of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Dewey, 62, passed away September 28, 2019 at home.

Pastor Kevin Bartley will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kenny Dewey, Jamey Bratcher, Larry Brigance, Dylan Pinson, Drezden Pinson and Kyle Lyon.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Debra was born March 30, 1957 in Roswell NM . On June 17, 1973 she married Tommie Dewey in Artesia.

She was a retired receptionist/bookeeper. She loved quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Colwell and Doris (Story) Colwell and a brother Steven Colwell.

Survivors include her husband Tommie Dewey of Artesia; daughters Tammie Lard and husband Arthur of Lake Arthur, NM, Teri Bratcher and husband Jamey of Artesia and Jenni Brigance and husband Larry of Artesia; sons Roy Dewey and wife Billie of Carlsbad, NM and Kenny Dewey and wife Samantha of Carlsbad; brother Billy Hummel of Artesia; sister Barbara Williams of Midland, TX; 11 grandchildren.
