Skip started his love for sports in his early life, he loved football and baseball. He served the community of Artesia for many years coaching both sports. In his spare time Skip spent his time managing the baseball fields at Jaycee Park, making sure the kids always had a safe, clean field to play on. Skip also enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing golf, & he loved to tinker with everything. If you know Skip, you know he had a love for guitars and music. If a song was playing he was dancing and if he didn’t know the words to the song he hummed along like he did. Skip was the ultimate handyman. He enjoyed working on cars and anything else he felt “needed” fixing.

Skip was a jokester. He loved to tell jokes he made up himself or that he had heard from others. He had a real knack for making people laugh. Skip was loved by many and will be missed terribly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents. Survivors include daughter Tieler Corbell & husband Dakota, brother Tim Singleton and wife Vickey, sister Krystal Cartwright & husband Justin, nephews Jacob Trejo, EJ Carnero, nieces Keryssa Carnero,& Mandy McAllister and 5 grandsons Patrick, Kaden, Jamison, Chase, & Jaxson. Skip was also survived by many cousins, friends, & neighbors who to him were his family.

Skip will be remembered for his heart for others, his tremendous strength, and his love for coaching the kids. May he rest in Paradise, forever.
