Ann Bannon

April 2, 1943 — October 20, 2021

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Sunday, October 31, at Hope Methodist Church for Ann Bannon of Hope, New Mexico. A meal will follow the services at 25 Landreth Ave. in Hope.

Mrs. Bannon, 78, died on October 20, 2021 at her home in Hope.

Ann grew up in Colfax, California. She attended Business College in Berkley, California. After college she met and married Donald McConnell. They had two children Elena and Tim, and Jenni who has been a daughter of the heart and member of the family as long as we can all recall. Don preceded her in death after a short battle with cancer in 1984.

Ann was living in Eureka, California where she met and married Garland "Fran" Bannon in October 2001. They moved to Hope, New Mexico in 2004. They enjoyed 20 years together taking many RV trips.

She was a member of the Hope Methodist Church, but one of her favorite church services the last couple of years was a monthly "Cowboy" service at Elena and Marty's house.

She is survived by her husband Garland Bannon; children Elena McConnell-Posey, Tim McConnell, Jennifer Parkson, Debbie Holt and David Bannon; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

Ann never lost her faith and showed great strength in her fight with Parkinsons. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Our lives won't be the same without her, but we are all better for having her in our life.
