William Houghtaling

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, at West Main Baptist Church for William Houghtaling, 1608 W. Ray Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Houghtaling, 78, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Artesia General Hospital. PJoby Houghtaling will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. PMr. Houghtaling was born May 14, 1929 in Artesia; the son of Forrest McKinley Houghtaling and Emmaline VogelHoughtaling. PHe served in the United States Army. PA lifelong Artesia resident, he was a truck driver and member of Hermosa Drive Baptist Church. PHe was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold Houghtaling and a sister Aline Amos.
Survivors include brother J.R. Houghtaling of Silver City, N.M.; sisters Lucille Riley of Artesia, Edith Roberts of Melrose, N.M., and Rosie Malone of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
