William Heady

Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday March 9, 2019 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God in Artesia New Mexico for Mr. William Heady who passed away at his home Wednesday February 27th, 2019.

Pastor Argo will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

William was born March 28, 1949 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Bill and Nellie (Revis) Heady. He was the fifth of nine children. He primarily grew up in Ruidoso,N.M. but moved to Artesia after leaving the military where he served in the U.S. Army for two years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Bill and Nellie Heady of Hope NM and one sister.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Juanita Heady whom he married on Aug 10th 1973. They had three children, Kristel and husband Leslie Sharp of Hobbs NM, Matthew Heady of Roswell NM, and Derrick and wife Elizabeth Heady of Roswell NM. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Christefer, Skyla, Nicholas, Meghan, Lindsey, and Jace, six sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.

William loved hunting, fishing, traveling, but most of all he loved his family. To him they were his greastest accomplishment which he was very proud of. He had a great sense of humor which was passed down to his children and grandchildren. It was often said that he never met a stranger and he could be relied upon no matter what the situation. He touched many people and will be greatly missed.The family invites anyone who would like to celebrate William's life to please join us for the above mentioned service.
