Wayne Thomas

No services are scheduled for Wayne Thomas, 901 Bullock Court, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Thomas, 93, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Artesia General Hospital. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was born September 15, 1914 in New Philadelphia, Ohio; the son of Dan Thomas and Hazel Cramer Thomas. On October 6, 1958 he was married to Patricia Hand in Brewster, Ohio. He came to Artesia in 1971 from Silver City, NM. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Music Teacher. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Paul Thomas, a sister Madge Snyder and a son-in-law Marvin West. Survivors include his wife Pat Thomas of the family home; sons John Thomas of Dayton, Ohio, and Wayne Thomas of Dover, Ohio; daughters Beth Ann West of Roswell, N.M., and Gwen Blumenauer of Dover; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
