Tammy Klein

September 12, 1961 — September 23, 2025

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:00 am at Hermosa Church of Christ in Artesia, New Mexico (2512 W. Bush) officiated by Darrell Brown.

Tammy Klein, 64, beloved Wife, Mother, Gram, Daughter, Sister, and Daughter-in-law was called to her eternal resting place on September 23, 2025.

Tammy was born in Alamogordo, NM to Bruce and Margaret McCaleb. She was one of four children, with three younger brothers. Their family moved around to a few different cities before they eventually settled in Artesia, NM in 1974. She graduated Artesia High School in 1979, where her love for the Bulldogs all began. She met the love of her life, Timmy, in 1981, where the two fell in love and were married on December 31, 1982, celebrating 41 wonderful years of marriage. Together, Timmy and Tammy had four beautiful children who they have devoted their lives to. Her children and grandchildren were her life and brought her a tremendous amount of joy. She was always known for her generosity, humor, and soft-spoken voice. She loved and supported her kids in all that they were involved in and took in many of their friends as her own. She was a die-hard Bulldog fan and was known as "Bulldog Mama" to many. Although she was soft-spoken, once the Artesia Bulldogs started playing, her Bulldog Mama heart came out. She loved furociously and was in turn loved by so many.

Born with a heart of gold, Tammy was always helping others, without needing recognition. Her ability to make everyone around her feel seen and special is a true testimony to who Tammy was. The love she poured out, not to just her family, but even those she barely knew will live on forever. Her love and memory will be cherished and forever carried on through us all.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Timmy Klein; daughter Courtney Gaines; son-in-law Ryan Gaines; daughter Jenna Herrera; son-in-law Jonathon Herrera; daughter in-law Kelly Klein; and her 7 grandkids Presley Gaines, Gentry Gaines, Destry Gaines, Cooper Klein, Case Klein, Andee Klein, and Addison Herrera; mother Margaret McCaleb; mother-in-law Betty Klein; brothers Mark McCaleb (Carrie); Eric McCaleb (Mitzi); Barry McCaleb (Chip); brother and sister-in-laws Lex Klein (Susan) ; Kathy Wells (Bill); Johnny Klein (Rusty); Jeff Klein (Kim); and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce McCaleb; son Scott Klein, son Jake Klein, father-in-law AA Klein, grandmother Kathleen Young, and aunt Joanie Stark.

To honor her, we will be wearing orange and black to her services for our Bulldog Mama where we will celebrate her eternal Homecoming.
