Standlee Donald McKee

A Memorial Service will be held for Standlee D. McKee at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Hermosa Church of Christ. Officiating will be Darrell Brown.

Standlee, 76, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Artesia. He was born on March 18, 1950, to Oliver Wayne and Bobbie Geraldine "Gerry" McKee in Corpus Cristi, Texas.

Standlee's life was a testament to determination and love. After graduating from Hobbs High School in 1968, he pursued further education at New Mexico State University, where he laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. He would go on to become the proud founder of McKee Consulting Services, Inc., leaving his mark on the consulting industry with his innovative ideas and steadfast work ethic.

On August 7, 1981, Standlee married the love of his life, Cecilia McKee, in a ceremony full of love and laughter in Roswell, New Mexico. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and support. Standlee was a dedicated member of the Hermosa Church of Christ.

An avid sports enthusiast, Standlee had a special love for baseball and was an avid golfer, always finding joy on the green. His determination, combined with his ability to brightened the lives of those around him, made him a remarkable individual.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cecilia McKee; daughters, Jennifer McKee and husband, Steven Hernandez; Sarah Schrecongost, and husband, Joshua Schrecongost; Jessica Bratcher; grandchildren, Vivien Alvarez, Gillian Domingez, Savannah Dominguez and Stephen Hernandez; great grandchildren; Violet and Cass; sister Deborah McKee Maddox; sisters-in-law Donna Smith and husband, Adger; Vinita Long; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.
