A rosary will be recited on February 20, 2026 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with a funeral mass immediately following at 10 AM. Burial will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Sofia was born in Rota, Cadiz, Spain to Donald R. Huber Sr. and Antonia Gonzales Huber.
Sofia was the most genuine, loving, and kind soul anyone could have met. Her fierce love for her family was like no other. She treated everyone with the utmost respect and kindness, always putting others before herself. She was often the last one at the table to eat, making sure everyone else was taken care of first.
Sofia deeply loved her children and family. She had a special love for cats, enjoyed watching the weather forecast, and held a strong and faithful belief in the Lord above. She also had a deep passion for children's education. Whenever there was a reason to celebrate-big or small-she was always the one cheering the loudest, proud and full of love. She was a fiercely protective and devoted woman to all who held a place in her heart.
In 2025, she received one of her greatest blessings when she became a Nana to her first grandchild, her beloved "Monchichi." Although their time together was far too short, the love and affection she showed will never be forgotten.
One of Sofia's greatest devotions in life was being the sole caregiver to her youngest son, Ayden. From the moment she embraced the responsibility of being a mother of special care, to her very last breath, she carried that role with unwavering strength, resilience, and unconditional love.
Although she is no longer with us, her memory will live on forever. No one can ever fill the void she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace with the Lord above, continuing to watch over those she loved so dearly.
She was preceded in death by:
Her son Michael Anthony Rodriguez "Meekos", father Donald R. Huber Sr., grandparents, father-in-law Johnny Rodriguez, and brother-in-law Troy Brown II.
Those left to cherish her memory include:
Her children Anthony Ray Rodriguez, Ciara Jo-Ann Rodriguez, and Ayden Juan Rodriguez; her precious granddaughter Maricela Sol Rodriguez, Nana's Monchichi; her mother Antonia Huber; sisters SueAnn Huber and Bobbi Jo Huber Perez; sister-in-law Maria Huber; brother Donald R. Huber Jr.; husband Michael Rodriguez; mother-in-law Angie Rodriguez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved as her own.
Pallbearers will be Troy Brown III, John Gabriel Rodriguez Jr., Donald R. Huber III, Adrian Huber, Sydney Huber, Brittany Perez, Kristina Perez, Brandon Perez, Isabella Torres, Angel Torres, Raul Cardoza, and Scott Bourgeois.
At her children's request, there will be no public viewing or meal following the service
