Santos was born on July 10, 1946, in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Raymundo Yrigollen on July 13, 1972. Throughout her life, Santos worked at La Fonda, Yates Petroleum, and later dedicated 26 years as a housekeeper at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).
She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
Santos found joy in making homemade tortillas, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She especially cherished moments with her sister Manuela, going to the Gomez Cantina, conversations with her longtime friend Kendra, and traveling to Mexico to visit loved ones. In her final days, she found comfort in being with her beloved dog, Jack Jack (Blanco).
She will be remembered for her bright smile and outgoing personality, which touched the lives of many. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to her caregiver, Gracie Tesillo; Nurses John and Kim of Interim Hospice of Roswell; and Chaplain Samuel Castillo for their compassionate care and support.
Santos is survived by her children: Martina Silvas; Veronica Carrasco (Jaime); Beatrice Romero (Ralph); and Lorenzo Yrigollen. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren: Stephanie (Kristen), Pedro (Anyssa), Brandon, Emilio, Samuel, Alegria, Leony, Rene, Rogelio, Yran, Paola, Lorenzo Jr., Selena, Alize, and Maribel; as well as 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marta Urias Acosta and Donaciano Acosta; her husband, Raymundo Yrigollen; her grandson Ernest “Gordo” Silvas; her brothers; Domingo Acosta; Rosalio Acosta; Candelario Acosta; Jose Acosta; sister Manuela Marquez; and her beloved nephew, Manuel Marquez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anyssa Gutierrez, Kristen Allen, Rene Renteria, Paola Olivas, Alegria Lester, and Alize Najera.
As Grandma would say, “Que Dios te bendiga y que te lleve por buen camino.”
The family kindly asks that all who attend wear pink in her honor.
