Our beloved Salomon Briseno passed away on June 4, 2026, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center surrounded by the love of his family.
Salomon was born April 12, 1949, to Prudencio and Jila Briseno in Artesia, New Mexico. He lived a life defined by his love of family, simple pleasures, and making the most of every day.
Salomon had a passion for fishing, found joy in music, and believed in living in the moment. Whether spending time outdoors, listening to his favorite songs, or sharing stories and laughter with those around him, he embraced life with a spirit that touched many.
Those who knew him remember his appreciation for life’s everyday blessings and his ability to enjoy each moment as it came. His presence brought comfort, companionship and countless memories to family and friends.
Salomon’s life was a reminder to slow down; enjoy the journey and cherish the people we love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Salomon is preceded in death by his parents Prudencio and Jila Briseno, brother: Florencio (Fred) Briseno, daughters: DeAnna Fe Briseno, Iliana Briseno, nephews: Paul Anthony Almanza, Richard (Ricky) Briseno, Bradley Briseno, nieces: Olivia Vargas, Marisa Barragan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children: Nicholas (Nick) Briseno, Christina Becerra spouse Pilar, Joseph Briseno, Salvador Briseno, granddaughters: Aubrieanna Hill, Sahvanna Hill, Shantel Briseno, grandsons: PJ Becerra, Patrick Becerra, Adrian Becerra, Isaiah Briseno, siblings: Angie Vargas spouse Frank, Al Briseno wife Linda, Ruben Briseno wife Delia, Dolores Barragan spouse Omar, Guadalupe Campos, Richard Briseno wife Carmen, sister in law: Erlinda Briseno.
A viewing will be held at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:30 pm with a rosary to follow at 6:00 pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 am. Interment to follow the mass at Woodbine Cemetery.
