Ruth Ratliff

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 5, at Pinon Baptist Church for Ruth Ann Ratliff, 1402 Gilchrist Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Ratliff, 92, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. J. B. Craft will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Ratliff was born October 23, 1914 in Ponca City, Oklahoma; the daughter of Oliver Walton Cook, Jr. and Laura Ann Yocum Cook. On Dec. 5, 1943 she was married to Robert A. Ratliff in Ponca City. She came to Artesia in early 1960's from Oklahoma. He preceded her in death June 21 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and five sisters. She was a homemaker and attended Pinon Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Laura Henderson and husband Sam of Pinon; granddaughter Erica Ratliff of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
