Rosa L. Valenzuela

Rosa was born September 4, 1931, in Artesia, NM; the daughter of Cruz Lugo and Carolina Huerta Lugo. She was a homemaker. One of her greatest passions was dancing. She was often found outdoors working in her yard and she loved a good jigsaw puzzle. She accomplished a great feat by reaching her 95th birthday just a few days ago.

Rosa was married to Sedundino Navarrette in 1959 and together they raised four children until his passing. in 1982, Rosa remarried to Ruben Valenzuela until his passing in 1991. Rosa's life was filled with the joy of living in Artesia all of her life surrounded by her family and dear friends. She was a life long member of Our Lady of Grace.

Rosa was proceeded in death by her parents, her husbands, her precious daughter Irma Navarrette Bustamante and her grandson Stephen Paz. Rosa was survived by her beloved four children; Rachel Paz and husband Richard, David Navarrette and wife Joy, Anna Marie Dominguez and husband Jamie and Ernest Navarrette and wife Ann, nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and an extensive list of loved nieces and nephews.

Rosa's services will be at Our Lady of Grace with the rosary at 9:30 and service at 10:00 on September 15, 2026.
