Services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday, November 30 at West Main Baptist Church for Ronnie Gene Laman of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Laman, 73, died on November 21, 2022 at his home in Artesia.

Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dera Clark, B.G. Clark, Tommy Montgomery, Daniel Laman, Lucas Kern and Jennings Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Laman and Martin cousins, Jim Ellett, Tim Jennings, Gerald Wiggins, Jayson, Jacob, Brannon, Bryce, Cooper and Clark.

Ronnie was born on April 16, 1949 in Artesia; the son of Cecil Laman and Frankie Opal "Billie" Martin Laman.

He was a longtime resident of Artesia and enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, hunting, CB radios, and motorcycles. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was proud to have served in the United States Army. He loved watching old Westerns, playing games and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Brannon Lynn Clark.

He is survived by his daughters Michele Robison and Robin Dunnavant; a sister Margaret Clark; grandchildren Miranda Robison, Daniel Laman and wife Candace, Lucas Kern, Jacob Robison, Faith Dunnavant, and Jayson Robison; and great-grandchildren Caidence Laman and Zailyn Laman. Out of 36 aunts and uncles there are 4 surviving, aunts Hazel Brown, Loma Ranne, Betty Pelts and Idella Laman. Out of 52 first cousins there are 36 survivors, most were raised as baby boomers and were an extremely close family.
