Robert Lee Langston

Services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday, March 28, at Terpening & Son Mortuary in Artesia, for Robert Lee Langston Jr. of Roswell, New Mexico. Pastor Robert Smith will be officiating the service. Mr. Langston, 81, died on March 17, 2026 at his home in Roswell Nee Mexico. Burial will take place following the services at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia.

Robert was born on August 16, 1944 in Bastrop, Texas; the son of Robert Lee Langston Sr and Bernice (Smith) Langston. Robert was a heavy equipment operator for the New Mexico Department of transportation. He retired after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Langston Sr and Bernice Langston; a daughter Aretha Langston; a sister Norma Jean Burdine; and brothers Timothy Dodson and Curtis Dodson.

Survivors include his children Arletha Martinez, Eddie Lee Langston, and Trina Langston; sister Darlene Green; grandchildren Andrea Jones, Vanessa Turner, Robbie Turner, Mia Medina, Alexis Medina and Roberto Medina; Neice Angela Langston; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Turner, Phillip Lawson, Clearence Byrd, Aurthur Williams, Howard Williams, Charles Harper and George Rodriguez.
