Robert Harold "Bob" Krauter Jr., 58, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Midland, Texas. Born on March 30, 1967, in Miller, South Dakota, Bob lived a life marked by generosity, adventure, and deep connections with those around him.

Bob was a man of great heart and unwavering kindness. Known for his willingness to help anyone in need, he earned the love and respect of many throughout his life—especially within the oil field and biker communities where his presence left a lasting impact.

He shared his life with his beloved wife, Melissa Krauter. He is also remembered with love by his mother Phillis Martin and stepmother Delight Krauter; his sisters Brenda Ridle, Kristina Bean, Keri Martin, Tiffany Hubbell, and Crystal Sotelo; and his brother Michael Inman. Bob’s legacy lives on through all his amazing children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who brought joy to his life and carry forward the warmth of his spirit.

A passionate traveler and motorcycle enthusiast, Bob found freedom on the open road. He cherished time spent riding with his Guerrero and RoadRunner family. Among his proudest accomplishments was completing the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge in 2018—a grueling test of endurance that reflected both his adventurous spirit and determination. He also completed many Iron Butt challenges, Extreme Iron Butt challenges, as well as the coast to coast challenge over the years, further demonstrating his love for long-distance riding.

Above all else, Bob valued time with loved ones. Whether traveling or simply sharing stories with family and friends, he brought people together with laughter and compassion.
