Robert John Bonogofsky

Robert John Bonogofsky, 64, of Artesia, New Mexico (formerly of Miles City, Montana) unexpectedly passed on July 3, 2023 surrounded by his wife, daughter, and grandchildren.

Robert, Bob, Bono, Montana Bono was born March 27, 1959 to John and Betty Bonogofsky in Miles City, Montana. He went to school in Miles City and entering adulthood entered into the military. He later returned to Miles City and found the love of his life, Penny. They were married November 16, 1985. This union brought his mini me Cassie. There was no doubt he would embrace fatherhood.

Despite his false hardened attitude, Bob was a gentle giant and his heart melted first for his daughter and then his grandson Braxton and granddaughter CaCee.

Bob's career choice in life was also his passion, truck driving. When he wasn't on the road he was with his family watching NASCAR, John Wayne or other westerns.

Bob can't be summed up in a page. He was an amazing father, husband, grandpa, and big brother to his sisters-in-law he took as his own, and uncle. He left this world way to soon, but we take peace in knowing he had people waiting for him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Betty, and a brother Jim.

He is survived by his wife Penny, daughter Cassie, grandchildren Braxton and CaCee, sisters Betsy and Tammy, and a nephew Layne.

You can rest assured he is taking his final lap with Dale Earnhart as we speak. Bob, this world is a little less bright without you in it.
