Refugia Dehoyos

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Refugia Dominguez DeHoyos of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. DeHoyos, 88, passed away on May 31, 2018 at her home.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Johnny Florez Jr., Chad Harcrow, Scott DeHoyos, Anthony Salsberry, Frank DeHoyos, Michael DeHoyos, Jason Lathrop and Chris Doporto.

A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Refugia was born on July 4, 1929 in Pecos, Texas; the daughter of Juan and Julia (Reza) Dominguez. On May 1, 1950 she married Ricardo DeHoyos in Artesia. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1988.

She was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Lilly Florez and husband Johnny of Artesia; son Ricardo DeHoyos Jr. of Artesia; son Tommy DeHoyos and wife Anita of Artesia; son David DeHoyos and wife Teri of Artesia; daughter Lucy Gallegos and husband Ernie of Rio Rancho. NM; daughter Ramona Haskins and husband Mike of OK; daughter Rita Winters and husband Tim of Artesia; daughter Lupe Doporto and husband Ronnie of Artesia; son Rudy DeHoyos and wife Pam of Artesia; daughter Delma Salsberry and husband Roy of Artesia; son Danny DeHoyos and wife Lisa of CO; son Albert DeHoyos and wife Yolanda of Artesia; daughter Diana Lathrop and husband Bob of Odessa, TX; sister Margaret Lopez of Las Vegas, NV; sister Irene Huertaz of TX; brother Jose Dominguez of Roswell, NM; brother Benny Dominguez of Albuquerque, NM; 28 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
