9:30am-10am-Mass on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church followed by burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

Ramon Marquez Ruiz of Artesia, NM died on April 30, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. Ramon was born on April 5, 1941 to Ignacio Ruiz and Eulalia Marquez in Ojinaga, Chicuahua, Mexico.

 Ramon is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nieves Ruiz, and 6 children.  Daughter: Eulalia Ruiz & Rudy Necochea, Rosemary Leyva & husband Michael Leyva, Irene Segura & Guerreros Reyes, Estella Molina & Julian Molina. Sons: Perfecto Ruiz & Katie Ruiz, Juan Ramon Ruiz & Lorena Ruiz, 18 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Ramon loved spending time with his family, his loyal dog Dimas, hunting, fishing, and outdoor gardening, and making his famous green chili. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters and his son Rafael Ruiz.
