Petra Contreras

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 1, at Lake Arthur Cemetery for Petra Contreras, of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Contreras, 47, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Mrs. Contreras was born January 28, 1958 in Saucillo, Chihuahua Mexico; the daughter of Francisco Contreras and Bertha Valles Contreras. Mrs. Contreras came to Artesia in 1995 from Deming, New Mexico. She worked as a chili picker and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include her son Daniel Valles of El Paso, Texas; sisters Imelda Contreras of El Paso, and Angelita Contreras of Mexico; brother Tibursio Contreras of Phoenix, Arizona; and many friends.
