Pete H. Perez, 70, departed to his heavenly home on July 11, 2020, after a fearless battle with an illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and in due course gave him peace.
Pete was born to the late Santiago Perez and Juanita (Hernandez) Perez, on July 3, 1950. He was highly admired in the Christian community; which has been his lifelong support.
Pete was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Virgie (Gomez) Perez on June 12, 1971, in Artesia, NM. Pete helped raise his five children with patience, discipline, and humbleness. He taught them to live a righteous life and to serve God with all of their heart. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the Word.
For those who knew him, Pete was a dedicated man of God and cared so much for those who didn’t know Jesus as their personal savior and would lead them to know the Lord. He will dearly be missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator. Pete is survived by his wife, Virgie; his children: Monica Gutierrez and Melinda Jacobo and husband Isaac of Hobbs, NM; Maribel Perez, Pete Perez and wife Cryselda, and Marcos Perez of Artesia, NM.
