Neva Chase

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, October 20, at West Main Baptist Church for Neva Chase of Artesia, New Mexico.

Neva Chase, 88, died on October 15, 2022 in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Michael Duff and Raye Miller will officiate the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park, Artesia, New Mexico. Pallbearers are Mark Brewer, Greg Chase, Robby Miller, David Leon, Blake Riesz, and Jacob Saiz. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Brewer, Rusty McKee, Raye Miller, David Riesz and all grandchildren.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, lovingly called MeMe by the family. She loved church and helping out with activities such as teaching Sunday school and chaperoning youth camp just to name a few. She lived a loving Christ centered life.

Neva was born along with her identical twin sister Treva, on September 23, 1934, as a twin daughter to Richard and Margie Galatian in Wilson, Oklahoma. Neva married George A. Chase, Sr. on July 28, 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico. Together they had six children. She was a lifetime resident of Artesia, New Mexico and bookkeeper for the family business, Chase Well Service for fifty years.

She is survived by her children and their spouses. Kathy Brewer of Albany, Texas, Karen Miller of Artesia, George and Jennifer Chase of Artesia, Linda and David Riesz, of San Antonio, Texas. Grandchildren, Donnie and Missy Miller, Jennifer Milligan, Jesse Jacobs, Robby Miller, Angela Leon, Cassie Whitt, Greg Chase, Blake and Garrett Riesz. Eighteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. Neva was preceded by George A. Chase Sr., infant son Bobby Chase and daughter Billie Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Chase Sr., twin sister Treva Patton, brother Richard Galatian, daughter Billie Kelley, an infant son Bobby Chase, grandchildren Ronnie and Charles, and a great-grandson Adrian.
