Mildred Stockton

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, November 30, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church for Mildred Ruth Stockton of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Stockton, 97, passed away on November 22, 2018 at Artesia General Hospital.

Daniel Phelps will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Mildred was born January 29, 1921 in Kress, TX; the daughter of Daniel Springer and Allie (Burns) Springer. On February 27, 1941 she married George S. Stockton in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2004.

She was a Secretary at the Artesia Public School Administration Office and a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She was very active in P.E.O., Chapter J and Bridge Club.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, and brother D.M. Springer.

Survivors include her son Dan Stockton of Phoenix, AZ; nephews Kelly Springer and Kent Springer and Niece Kyla Smith.
