Maryann Patricia Guajardo

A funeral service will be held for Maryann Patricia Guajardo at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with internment immediately following at Woodbine Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Mary Guajardo, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on April 29, 2026, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Mary was born on November 12, 1952, to Efren Romero in Hagerman, New Mexico.

Mary’s life sharing 53 cherished years of marriage with her husband, John Guajardo. Together they raised 3 children in Artesia, New Mexico, and moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in the year of 2000. She loved listening and dancing to all genres of music. But her favorite is the classic oldies. We loved to see her turn up the stereo and say, “that’s my jam.” She attended mass as much as she could. Decorated her house with every season and holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she filled the whole house with Hobby Lobby stuff. A lot of people knew her because she would talk with everyone wherever she went. She will be remembered by so many whom she touched throughout her life.

Mary is preceded by her mother, Efren Romero Martinez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John F. Guajardo, daughter, Naomi L. Fernandez, daughter, Tiana M. Salinas (husband, Jose A. Salinas), son, Joshua J. Guajardo (wife, Danielle Guajardo). Her seven grandchildren, Denico Ortega (husband, Refugio Ortega), Danielle Huerta, Miranda Salinas, Angel Salinas, Nino Guajardo, Geno Guajardo, Reno Guajardo. And five great grandchildren, Eziah Kino Ortega, Mia Evangeline Ortega, Isaac Marcos Ortega, Conaghen Khalil Huerta.
