Mary Morgan

October 26, 1948 — October 17, 2018

Mary Annette Morgan met her Savior face to face on October 17, 2018. Her family is very thankful that she is no longer struggling with this life's illnesses and struggles. She is now fully healed.

A celebration of Annette's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 26th at Calvary Baptist Church in Artesia.

Annette was born on October 26, 1948 in Alamogordo, NM to Ella Lee and Henry Ward. While attending Artesia High, she met a cute redheaded boy named Ernest Morgan. He became her best friend and life-long love. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in April.

She excelled at being an amazing mom to Richard Morgan and Tammy Brown. She spent many hours at the library, local parks and school events with her kids. She ensured that they were well loved. Her grandkids enjoyed playing board games, racing cars, and coloring in the floor with their grandma. Annette loved to read and spend time with her church family at Calvary Baptist Church. She also had a wry sense of humor, great dance moves and cooked everyone's favorite dumplings.

She is so loved by the family left to carry on her legacy - her husband Ernest Morgan, son Richard Morgan and wife Kimberly, daughter Tammy Brown and husband Steven. Grandkids Skyler,Christy, Shilo, Crisha, Dalton, Devin, Magaly and Trey Morgan; Chris, Katie, Trevor and Emma Brown. Great-grandkids Kira, Sophia, Jase and Mia Morgan. Brothers Russell and Kenneth Boyd, Buster, Bobby, Billy, Bert Ward and sisters Mona and Leona Ward. Sister-in-law Dorothy Morgan.

The family would like to thank the following people and agencies that provided excellent care, love and support through her journey home: J&J Home Health, Encompass Hospice, San Pedro, Dr. Salgado, Dr. Caley, Yvonne, and Heather.

We are thankful for the foundational truth of Jesus that she passed down to her kids and grandkids. "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord" - 2 Corinthians 5:8 - Welcome home Annette.
