Maria Baeza Porras

January 29, 1939 — April 25, 2026

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Maria B. Porras loving know to many as "Marita" announces her passing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker whose life was defined by strength, faith, and endless capacity to love.

Maria and Jose worked tirelessly throughout their lives to care for and support their nine children: Arturo Porras, Ismael, Porras, Olivia Gallegos, Israel Porras and his spouse Manuela, Elizabeth Porras, Esther Lara and her spouse Joe, Gabriel Porras and his spouse Tina. She was preceded in death by three of her children: Ismael Porras, Ismael Porras and Imelda Porras. Her children were her heart, and her home was always a place of comfort, warmth, and open arms.

She was blessed with 28 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, each one treasured deeply. Her greatest joy was having her family close. If it had been her choice, she would have kept all her children and grandchildren under one roof, sharing meals, laughter and the simple togetherness she cherished most. Her greatest wish was always to see her family united.

Maria was the las surviving of her three siblings, all of whom, along with her parents Jesus Basez and Maria Paz, preceded in her death. Her siblings were Eloisa Baeza, Andrez Baeza, and Jose Baeza. Despite the losses she endured, she carried herself with remarkable resilience, guided by her strong faith and love for her family.

In her younger years, she loved music and dancing, filling her life with joy. As time passed, her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her family. Anyone who met her felt the warmth she carried-she had a gift for giving love freely, generously, and without hesitation.

She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and boundless love. Maria will be missed beyond measure by all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the life of Maria and the love she shared so generously. We lift her and her children to You, asking for Your strong and abiding protection over them all. Grant them courage in their grief, strength in their days ahead, and deep sense of Your presence to guide and comfort them. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds. Bless them with hope, resilience, and the assurance of Your eternal love. We trust in Your mercy and grace, holding fast to the promise of reunion in Your heavenly kingdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
