Maria Galindo

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 29 at Hermosa Church of Christ for Mrs. Maria Antonia Galindo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Galindo, 79, died March 26, 2019 at Artesia General Hospital.


Daryl Brown will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Maria was born July 9, 1939 in Lakewood, New Mexico, the daughter of Juan and Porfiria (Balencia) Perez. She was a life long Artesia resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Hermosa Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and life long friend Wanda Maupin.

On August 3, 1960 she was married to Marcelino Galindo in Pecos, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Porfiria Perez; Her brothers: Pablo Perez, Jonny Perez, Armando Perez, Sammy Perez all of Artesia.

Survivors include sons Marcelino Galindo, Jr. and wife Olga of Artesia, Larry Galindo and wife Sara of Artesia, Danny Galindo and wife Tina of Artesia, Onesimo Ruiz of Chihuahua, Mexico and Frankie Galindo and wife Trini of Artesia, Daughter Barbara Rosales and husband Steve of Artesia. Sisters include Lupe Salmon of Lake Arthur, Emma Cervantes of Artesia, Dora Martinez of Artesia, and Olga Cortez of Artesia. Brothers include Ismael Perez, Martin Perez, Domingo Perez, Felix Perez all of Artesia. 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Service
