Magdalena was born on May 26, 1940 in San Diego, Chihuahua, Mexico to Candelario Fernandez and Dominga Aquirre Fernandez.

Magdalena and Nazario Madrid were joined together in holy matrimony on April 19, 1958 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of the San Jose Society. She was blessed to spread her love to sixteen grandchildren that culminated in thirty-two great grandchildren, followed by two great-great-granchildren.
