Madge Nabours

Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Woodbine Cemetery for Madge M. Nabours of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Nabours, 93, died Wednesday, April 25, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.

Madge was born September 23, 1924 the daughter of Walter and Ruby (Stewart) Wallace in Crosbyton, Texas. She was a longtime Artesia resident after moving here in the 1930's.

She was homemaker and loved her kitty's, little dog Willy and her county music. Madge also enjoyed collecting her Betty Boop figurines.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands; James Nabours, Walter Bethke, and Charles Nabours; sons-in-law Wayne Reed and Wayland Lamb, Sr.; son Geary Bethke; granddaughter Connie; great-grandson Jerimiah Champion; great-great-grandson Shane Mann; her parents, a sister, and a brother.

Madge is survived by her daughters Doris Lockler and Alice Reed; son Laurance Bethke all of Artesia; sister Onita Dowell of Batesville, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
