Luiz Leyva

A viewing will be held for Luis Angel Leyva from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery.

Officiating the service will be Fr. Vijaya Raju. Pallbearers include Pedro Leyva, Fernando Napoles, Chris Lykins, Margarito Hernández, Edgar Salcido, and José Cueto.

Mr. Leyva, 31, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Artesia, NM. He was born on May 26, 1994, to Pedro Luis and Maria Guadalupe (Dominguez) Leyva in Artesia, NM.

Luis loved to hunt and was an avid collector of vintage and fast cars. He enjoyed taking his boat out to the lake with his dearest friends. He was passionate and dedicated about his work at Prestige Equipment Rentals. He always ensured his parents and big sister were taken care of. Luis adored traveling with the love of his life, Taysia. They made many wonderful memories in the eight years spent together.

Luis was a man of his word and a lover of life. He lived it to the fullest. He was always the life of the party. His closest family and friends describe him as energetic, hilarious, and very creative and intelligent. He would say the most random things and crack everyone in the room up. He never took himself or anything else too seriously. He had the kindest heart and was meticulous about each project he would start. He touched many lives in our community, and although he was young, many looked up to him. His loss is felt deeply by all who knew him well.

Luis is proceeded by his grandparents, Trinidad Dominguez and Pedro and Manuela Leyva; his aunt, Josefina Leyva; and his uncle, Trinidad Dominguez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Pedro and Maria Leyva; sister, Magali Leyva; bother-in-law, Fernando Napoles; and life partner, Taysia Price.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the family and friends who have reached out and have been supportive during this difficult time.
