A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Thursday, October 24, at 920 S. Roselawn Avenue for Linda Louise Bentley of Artesia, New Mexico.
Ms. Bentley, 72, died October 23, 2019 at her home.
Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Linda was born August 10, 1947 in Tucson, AZ to Thomas Fletcher and Doris (Croft) Fletcher.
She was very passionate. Whatever cause she took up be it Girl Scouts or politics she gave it 100% of her heart and soul. She may have grumbled and gave you a stern talking to but in the end she would give you the shirt off her back. She loved her and friends with all of her heart and soul. She could appear very intimidating and stern, but she was really just a loving soul. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart and soul. She had an enormous amount of love for her 4 legged children as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Gary Fletcher.
She is survived by her son Charles "Chad" Bentley and wife Brooke: grandchildren Pearl and Cortez Bentley of Truckee, CA. She is also survived by her adopted family Jesse and Tracy Ramirez, of Artesia, NM; adoptive grandchildren Michele Kelley and husband Kevin and their daughter Morgan of Midland, TX., Jessica Ramirez and her three children Joshua, Emma and Hazel of Midland, TX and Cheyenne Ramirez and Nicholas Ramirez wife Kimberley and daughter Sophia of Artesia; numerous other family members.
