Leonila Salsberry

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Leonila G. Salsberry of Artesia, New Mexico.
She was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Grace. She enjoyed ceramics ,crafting and camping.
Mrs. Salsberry, 84, died March 10, 2019 at her home.
Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Anthony Salsberry, Ricardo Bustos, Michael Borunda, Manuel Melendez and Tony Huerta.
A Rosary will be recited Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.​
Leonila was born November 9, 1934 in Terlingua, Texas, the daughter of Baldomero and Edwarda (Hernandez) Gandara. On August 23, 1952 she was married to Henry Salsberry in Brownfield, Texas. They were longtime Artesia residents after moving here from Texas in 1953. She is survived by husband Henry Salsberry of the home; daughter Esther Bustos; sons Ronnie Salsberry, Roy Salsberry and wife Delma, Edward Salsberry, all of Artesia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
