Kenneth Smith

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, at Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, N.M., for Kenneth Smith, 616 N. 7th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Smith, 67, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Smith was born January 13, 1941 in Henrietta, Oklahoma; the son of Willard Smith and Goldie Pierce Smith. He was a longtime resident of Artesia and the surrounding area. He was a manager for New Mexico Welding Supply and member of the Baptist denomination. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include son Wade Smith of Lubbock, Texas; daughter Todie Armstrong of Hagerman; brothers David Smith of Henrietta, Oklahoma, and Jerry Smith of Weleetka, Oklahoma; sisters Barbara Whitt of Bristow, Oklahoma and Kathy Dobson of Bryant, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.
