Karen Cawley

Karen Lynette Cawley, 77, passed away on October 6, 2025, at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Born in Artesia, New Mexico, on September 9, 1948, to LT and Iva Bernice Beauchamp, she was a cherished daughter and sister who grew up alongside her brothers, Ricky Beauchamp and SL Beauchamp.

Karen studied cosmetology and later found her calling in the sales industry, where her vibrant, outgoing nature ensured she never met a stranger. She was a loving mother to her two sons, Chad Rhoads and Darin Eppler. Later in life, she met and married Michael Cawley, her loving husband of 34 years. Through her marriage to Michael, she also became a loving stepmother to Lisa and Randy Cawley. Karen had a passion for life, which she expressed through her love for the outdoors and most especially, for dancing. Where She was truly at her happiest.

She is preceded in death by her parents, LT and Iva Bernice Beacham; her son, Darin Eppler; and her stepdaughter, Lisa Cawley.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Cawley; her son, Chad Rhoads; her stepson, Randy Cawley; her brother, Ricky Beauchamp; her 12 cherished grandchildren; and her 12 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at Terpening & Son Funeral Home in Artesia, NM, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. All are welcome to attend.
