June Smith

Memorial services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Terpening & Son Chapel for June Kay Smith of Artesia.

Mrs. Smith, 63, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at her home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son.

June was born June 25, 1952 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Harper V. Patman and Peggy (House) Patman. She was a longtime area resident.

She was a Medical Secretary and enjoyed reading, beading and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Deborah Patman.

Survivors include her son B.J. Smith of Gilmer, TX; daughters Crystal Bernard of Roswell, NM and Lisa Arzaga of Hobbs, NM; brother Johnny Patman of Artesia; sister Patricia Lampkin of Las Cruces, NM; and 10 grandchildren.
