Josie Marquez Madrid, born on January 16, 1953, in Roswell, New Mexico, was a beloved soul who touched the lives of many. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and nurturing nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She was the daughter of the late Jose Marquez and Francisca Larez.
Josie's legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Samuel Madrid, and her children. Gabriel Delgado, Samuel Madrid Jr., Sylvia (Jaime) Mariscal, John (Karen) Delgado, and Stephanie (Steven) Lara. Tragically, Josie's daughter, Tera Delgado, preceded her in death. However, Josie's love extended to her 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Among her surviving siblings are Ezequiel Marquez, Lydia Benavidez, Roy Marquez, Irma Gamboa, Juanita Tuttle, and Steve Marquez.
