Services are scheduled at 9:30 AM Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Jose Antonio Martinez, 1003 S. 6th St., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Martinez, 30, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.
Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, Randall Hamilton, Charlie Campbell, Brad Panzer, AdamLeachman, Arturo Salinas, Daniel Zamarron, Christopher Owens, Ji Mancha. All other friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at the Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday.
Jose was born July 3, 1981 in Roswell, New Mexico the son of Christina L. Martinez. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.
He was a self employed D J, a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and helped coach his nephew in the city league basketball program.
Survivors include his mother Christina Martinez of Artesia brother Carlos Martinez of Artesia sister Gracie Martinez of Artesia nephew Jeremy Rene Luevano of Artesia numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
