Johnny Lopez

Funeral services are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22 at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel for Johnny J. Lopez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Lopez, 62, passed away March 18, 2017 at his home.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Johnny was born on June 11, 1954 in Artesia; the son of Anacleto S. and Luciana (Delgado) Lopez. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

He was a driller in the oil field. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns and spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Luis Lopez.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lopez of Albuquerque, NM; sons Chris Hatfield of California and Rusty Hatfield of Washington; daughter Lindsey Betancourt of Carlsbad, NM; sisters Frances Tesillo of Artesia, Helen Lopez of Artesia and Jane Lopez of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Hailey, Hope, Autumn, Cristine and Dakota Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
