Jimell Harvey

Long time Artesia resident, Jimell Harvey passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Austin, TX, and was immediately received by her father, God.

She was born in Benjamin, TX. to Eddie Kelly and Hulene Nary on April 20,1935.

Jimell lived in Artesia for over 70 years; she was a beloved Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother Charles Gray, and eldest son Johnny P. Hutson.

Surviving family members include: her husband, Roosevelt Harvey; two daughters Wilma Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ., Linda Harvey of Alb., MM; two sons Donald Lee Hutson of Artesia, and Willie Howard Hutson and wife Marcela Hutson of Austin, TX., one sister-n-law Margaret Gray of Midland, TX., and daughter-n-law Senaida Lopez-Hutson of Artesia, MM., two special cousins Willis Nary and wife Alma Ray of Midland, TX., Ronnie Vaughn of Roswell, NM. She also has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much.

The viewing will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Terpening and Son Mortuary. Flowers can be delivered to Terpening and Son Mortuary at 611 W. Grand Ave., Artesia, NM.88210.

Memorial services are scheduled at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Trinity Temple Assembly of God. Officiating the services will be. Pastor Bobby Argo. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
