Jesus Franco Gabaldon

Jesus Franco Gabaldon was born on May 17, 1941, in Ojinaga, Mexico. He passed away on April 4, 2026, and went into the loving hands of our Heavenly Father, where he now rests in eternal peace.

Those who knew him also lovingly knew him as Don Chuy, a name spoken with affection, respect, and deep love by family and friends.

Jesus was a hardworking and devoted man who dedicated many years of his life to providing for his family. Throughout his career, he worked in the farming business and the oilfield, and he faithfully finished his working years as a janitor at Sierra Middle School, where he served for many years and touched lives of countless students and staff.

After retirement, Jesus found joy in giving back to others. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul, where he loved visiting with people and helping distribute food to those in need within the community. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to serve reflected his strong faith and loving heart.

Jesus was an avid Bulldog fan and always looked forward to attending football games. He was well known and will be greatly missed at the Gomez Club, where he spent many hours dancing, enjoying music, and sharing laughter and friendship. He treasured time spent with family and friends, and his presence brought warmth and happiness to those around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Manuela Sanchez.

Those left to lovingly cherish his memory are his children: Rojelio, Christopher (Becky), Maribel, Raymond (Michele), "Ross" Rosendo (Whitney). Grandchildren: Kalyb, Andrew, Mario, Kristen, Gabriel, Mauricio, Macye, Kristian, Kaiden, Kilynn and Jordis along with 9 great grandchildren. Sisters: Josephina Briebiescas (Santiago), Vicky Olguin (Pedro), Rosa Vasquez (Raymond) and Amy Franco. Brothers: Alfredo Gabaldon (Mary), Pompello (Eloisa) and Lupe Gabaldon (Aida) along with numerous extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Kalyb, Andrew, Mario, Gabriel, Mauricio, Kristian and Kaiden.

A viewing will be held at Terpening and Son on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Grace at 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow. Burial will take place at Woodbine.

Obituario de Jesús Franco Gabaldón

Jesús Franco Gabaldón nació el 17 de mayo de 1941 en Ojinaga, México. Falleció el 4 de abril de 2026 y fue recibido en los amorosos brazos de nuestro Padre Celestial, donde ahora descansa en paz eterna.

Quienes lo conocieron también lo conocían cariñosamente como Don Chuy, un nombre pronunciado con afecto, respeto y profundo amor por su familia y amigos.

Jesús fue un hombre trabajador y dedicado que entregó muchos años de su vida para proveer a su familia. A lo largo de su carrera, trabajó en la agricultura y en el campo petrolero, y terminó fielmente sus años laborales como conserje en la escuela secundaria Sierra Middle School, donde sirvió durante muchos años y tocó la vida de innumerables estudiantes y personal.

Después de su jubilación, Jesús encontró alegría en servir a los demás. Fue voluntario en San Vicente de Paúl, donde disfrutaba visitar a las personas y ayudar a distribuir alimentos a quienes lo necesitaban en la comunidad. Su bondad, generosidad y disposición para servir reflejaban su fuerte fe y su corazón amoroso.

Jesús era un gran aficionado de los Bulldogs y siempre esperaba con entusiasmo asistir a los partidos de fútbol americano. Era muy conocido y será profundamente extrañado en el Club Gómez, donde pasó muchas horas bailando, disfrutando de la música y compartiendo risas y amistad. Apreciaba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia y amigos, y su presencia brindaba calidez y felicidad a quienes lo rodeaban.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su hermana, Manuela Sánchez.

Quienes quedan para honrar y atesorar su memoria son sus hijos: Rojelio, Christopher (Becky), Maribel, Raymond (Michele) y “Ross” Rosendo (Whitney).

Sus nietos: Kalyb, Andrew, Mario, Kristen, Gabriel, Mauricio, Macye, Kristian, Kaiden, Kilynn y Jordis, junto con 9 bisnietos.

Sus hermanas: Josephina Briebiescas (Santiago), Vicky Olguín (Pedro), Rosa Vásquez (Raymond) y Amy Franco.

Sus hermanos: Alfredo Gabaldón (Eloisa) y Lupe Gabaldón (Aida), además de numerosos familiares y amigos que lo amaron profundamente.

Los portadores del féretro serán sus nietos: Kalyb, Andrew, Mario, Gabriel, Mauricio, Kristian y Kaiden.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio en Terpening and Son el jueves 9 de abril de 2026, de 2:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m.

Se rezará el Rosario en la Iglesia Our Lady of Grace a las 10:30 a.m., seguido de la Santa Misa.

El entierro se llevará a cabo en Woodbine.
